🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
If you’re looking for a spacious and welcoming dog park in Fremont, Nebraska, this spot is one of the best dog-friendly places in town. The park offers a large, fully fenced grassy area where dogs can run and play off-leash, making it a favorite destination for local pet owners. With a double-gated entrance for extra safety, pet-friendly trails, and plenty of open space, it’s great for getting your pup’s energy out after a long car ride or just for everyday play.
This well-maintained dog park features several heavy-duty aluminum picnic tables—each equipped with water bowls chained for convenience. There’s a water faucet inside the park so you can easily fill up for your dog. While shade is provided by eight mature trees along the fence-line, there’s also easy access to public restrooms, a playground for kids, and the park is wheelchair accessible, making it convenient for the whole family. Parking is available, though be prepared for a short walk from the lot to the dog park entrance.
The parking was quite far from the entrance to the dog park. So a cooped up doggo on a long trip doesn’t get to romp free right away. Granted it is all grass, however the park could have lots of people and pets so off leash may not be an option until the dog park itself.
This is a really nice fenced park for dogs. There are 8 trees inside the fence-line. There are 4 heavy- duty aluminum picnic tables that can be moved and each has a metal water bowl chained to the table. There is a water faucet in the opposite corner of the entry gate which is a double gate to help with leashing and unleashing your dog. There were some empty jugs near the faucet, but we have a 900 ml bottle that we fill for the dog. We also use a paper bowl if the walk from the parking lot is over a couple hundred feet. Thanks park people!
Visited while in the area and found it very clean and open.
Great place to bring your dog. Wide open fenced in space. Well maintained. Water bowls chained to each table and a water spicket to fill containers.
A great place to take your dog for a nice little romp in the park. Clemmons Park itself is a wonderful place for a stroll with the pooch as well. The addition of a larger concrete pad will, hopefully, eliminate a large amount of the mud at the entrance after rains or snow melt. The only downfall is the distance from the parking lot to the dog park itself. Otherwise, one of my pups favorite places!
