Candlebay Inn is everything a bed & breakfast should be — a comfortable place to catch some sleep, shower, and be served a hot, home-cooked breakfast. The Azalea Room was comfy, cozy, and clean. Connie was a fantastic, friendly host and very accommodating. Stephanie prepared a variety of delicious breakfasts during our stay. Our 3-night stay was very enjoyable (much better than a noisy hotel with a continental breakfast). The parlor, dining room, and outside seating area were a plus, giving us more options for relaxing and chatting with other family members we were traveling with. It’s a quiet inn on a quiet street, within walking distance to shops and restaurants on Route 1. It’s also got easy access to I-295. We felt very safe walking at night and couldn’t be happier with our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Candlebay Inn. We were greeted right away upon arrival and check in was a breeze. Our room was impeccably clean but still felt cozy. The breakfasts were all deliciously home-made and we enjoyed chatting with the inn keeper. Please keep this family-run business going and book a room here 🩵

Everytime I’m visiting my husband’s sister and her family we stay here. I love that it sits a half block from the main street, it’s so peaceful. We’re low maintenance guests so my husband enjoys the breakfast they provide AMD don’t need anything else. It’s not a b&b with a menu so don’t go and let yourself get disappointed. It’s such a lovely house full of history. Can’t wait to go back, it’s one of those places where I feel at home and relaxed.

My fiance booked a room at the Candlebay Inn to celebrate our engagement. Because we were on a trip, we had our dog with us and Candlebay was wonderful about accommodating the dog as well! Our host was welcoming, the bed was comfortable, relaxing on the lawn in the evening was great, and being able to walk to all of Freeports offerings was fantastic. Breakfast was a great way to start our day. We really enjoyed our stay.
