Johnsonburg Swamp Park speaks for its self. To those who enjoy beauty this place is a must take time to see.
All the new work done by the township park personnel we take our hats off to you all. Great job 👍
My wife and I visit this location it least twice a month , 30 miles out. We both are out door persons enjoying all types of nature and what it has to offer. This park for what we still can enjoy doing makes it feel like home. As a avid Hunter for over 50 years and respected all that I have learned.
It was real good to see where a black bear put his mark on one of the new benches. “Not a problem”
But a few days ago on our last visit a really sad thing was noticed. It will irk you to see it. 7 empty water bottles abroad on the grounds. We gathered them up. New informational signs were “shot up” and empty cartridges all over.
22 cal. , twenty + shots.
These persons disrespected our beauty with not an ounce of care.
*There time will come* weather it be on a trail cam or snapping a shot of their plate number coming out that long dirt road.
So beware! 🤔

I have never seen a higher concentration of invasives in my life! Burning Bush, Multi-flora Rose and Japanese Barberry as far as the eye can see, which is very disappointing for a TNC property. The trails were decently marked and trimmed back, there is a porta-John in the parking lot and picnic tables close to the parking lot. Just can’t get over the amount of invasive plants here.
