First time hiking here I loved it. It was very cold but I had the right gear for it. It head such beautiful views and also a benchmark I didn’t think would be there. Beautiful hike, I will be returning with more time.

I love this place during the winter. During mid-February is the perfect time to go. Due to its location, it doesn’t get a lot of activity which makes it the best place to enjoy without the large crowds. The snow does get deep 2-3 get depending if it has been recently snowing. The trail is pretty clear if you are trying to make it to the lookout.

This was a great hike! The road up was very smooth and also a beautiful drive. There are a couple of different trails, but we chose the “easy” one since we have small children. It was quiet and beautiful. We only saw other people at the trailhead. In Bakersfield, it was in the 90s, but up there, it was about 65° and breezy.

It’s a fairly easy trail; the 8000 ft altitude may add to the difficulty of this trail; some of it is shaded via the tall, magnificent pines along the trail.it’s an easy downhill walk coming back. The summit is bare of trees for the most part and connects to another trail that leads to 2 more summits

The hiking trail was amazing but the directions there were a little lacking. Online it was shown as a road closure in spite of the fact that there were around 100 people there and the signs on site did not help clarify. However, this is a 10/10 beautiful area and I will be back to hike more there.
