Garfield Park Apartments

Poor management. Rent is way too high for what you get. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been here, (8 years) or how you’re always on time with the rent… Poor maintenance, no enforcement of the no smoking policy, and one excuse after another when you call for maintenance. Was like this before covid and not any betterwith the supposed new management company.

I over all have enjoyed this place they take care of their buildings and outdoors area! Recently cleaned and took care of pool and it looks like it’ll be nice- one problem I have is that the first floor apartments have a bit more issues with bugs,, they’re manageable but if you don’t like bugs I’d recommend maybe seeing if a floor higher is available otherwise I’ve not had much issue with this complex!

I currently live in a 2 bedroom with my husband and 2 young children. we have lived here for almost 4 years and will contuine to until we find a home. we originally only anticipated to stay a year or 2 but its so INCREDIBLY affordable and the maintenance men are incredible. the apartments are open layout so its easy to keep an eye on the kids. the larger bedroom both my kids share & have plenty of room (crib, single bed, 2 dressers, book shelf, toy box, bin organizer, and a large barbie house) the closet space runs the entire length of the room. the maintenance men are very helpful with any little issue i encounter from closet doors falling off track, fridge not being cold enough(replaced), any kitchen issues or anything i come across its always handled within a day or 2. they just installed new washers and driers which are NULL.50 per machine and we are given a fair size storage cage as well. no utilities are included, but with such low rent payments it evens out. the Windows are older so we place plastic over our windows in the winter due to drafts. the pool is open every summer which my family LOVES and we use almost daily. they dont set up the picnic tables outside during the summer tho the last few summers. in winters the side walk and parking lots are always plowed early mornings and throughout the day with salt and they have a cleaning company come on the weekends to clean the hallways and glass entries. theres lots of parking, our building is very quiet for the most part. our neighbors are friendly and we all keep to our self with friendly “hellos” in the hallway. our landlord is the most compassionate one youll ever come by. hes very understanding which makes living here much easier. the location is PRIME. youre right next to restaurants, grocery/convient stores, the park, police station and surrounded by schools. love it.

Garfield Park is my first apartment and I love it here! Neighbors, amenities, management ,location, and price !

The apartments are SO clean when you move in, I was the first person to walk on my carpet. I would definitely recommend to others !

Ive lived here with my father and my sister. My father still currently lives there. Management has always been nice through out the 20 Years that my family has been here! I rated 4 stars because of lack of things to do with children. Yes there’s a pool and a little 3 piece concrete playground but I feel like there’s room for improvement with the grounds and availability left open for more excited and attraction. Other than that it’s a nice place to live. Quiet and reasonable
