I would give it five stars if
Entitled school parents/grandparents would stop illegally parking in handicapped spaces in front of rec center. It is an everyday occurrence on school days. Shame on them. Fines need to be imposed.
Super nice park dog friendly kid friendly bathrooms available and so much more
I spent time both in the rec center and on the grounds.They have a nice scenic walk around a pond (that had a live wild alligator when I was there) with several benches. There’s a playground that is great for kids that’s well-maintained. There’s a large dog park. There are 2 gyms, a weight room, and various meeting rooms. On a nice weekend day, parking can be a challenge. Next door to a Junior High School.
Visiting this park for the first time today with my dog and myself the park has a lot of amenities such as pickle ball,tennis volleyball and plenty of room for kid’s or dogs to run around just keep them away from waters edge because there are alligators in the water.
This park also has a dog park,Pavillion and restrooms which is away a huge plus all around this is a great park to visit
Nice place to meet friends or enjoy the beautiful SWFL weather. Good for small kids, my teenager liked the climbing rock and rope though. This site has an amazing dog park, conveniently located near Lakes Park Regional Library. Bathrooms were well maintained too. Big plus!!
