We love going to this park… It’s clean and quiet… they have an area where you can have a cookout with picnic tables and a gazebo… There is plenty of parking here… But it’s definitely a nice area to have a nice little walk outside…

Not a dog owner but we humans enjoyed the walking trails. There are several so you can get a short walk or a little longer route depending on what you’re into. Our route was about 1.5 miles. The trails are either raised grass or soft sand. The sand trails had some ruts and roots but was mostly level. The dump next door had a lot of vultures and ibis. The lake had herons and egrets. Many butterflies fluttering around.

Beautiful trails and lake. I really enjoyed my visit today with my pup and he had a blast on the sniff trail! Only thing I have an opinion on (and we all know how those are) is that the small dog park looked kinda unkempt. The grass was high and smelled very very foul. I didn’t want to let him loose in there so we passed. Other than that everything else was so worth the drive from Cape!

Much, much more than a dog park so that it deserves its own business (we’ll see), the county has built this large athletics complex in west Fort Myers. In addition to the gigantic parking lot, there are four little league baseball fields and three soccer fields with plenty of room for people to mill about.A big piece of the park is to the north (past the dog park) with walking / biking / hiking trails through the natural landscape. And of course, natural landscape in Florida always means there is a chance that you may encounter wildlife. Be prepared and never hike alone. There are structures for concession stands, restrooms and water fountains. The park is in excellent condition and while it’s way far from my usual haunts, it’s surrounded by home communities.

What great clean park. I brought my granddaughters for the first time to this park. It’s a little out of the way from where I live and there are 2 parks closer but this park also has a dog park. So that will be a plus for us next time we go. Truly I wouldn’t mind going out of our way to come here. Really cute playground has soccer field and baseball. The only down side I could see was only one pavilion if you wanted to have a get together there not sure how that would work
