Very nice park with 2 separate areas for large or small dogs. The addition of a covered area & benches is great.

It has two large areas for different sized dogs. They have a inner fence area so dogs can’t escape. There are tires standing and concrete tubes placed for dogs to play around or on. They also have plastic pools for dogs to play or drink from. There is also a dog poop bag station in case you don’t have your own bags. Overall it is a great place to bring your dogs. Plenty of running space and my dog slept well that night. I will be bringing her back more.

It’s also near a baseball/softball field. There is also disc golf nearby. A children’s playground is set up outside for those that have kids. If you are more in the mood for walking they have paths to take your dogs on.

Update: they have added benches inside and building shaded areas. They took the outside shade area away.

Update 2: They finally added dog fountains inside. However, I wish they held water longer and drained better. They do make nice mud puddles, though.

Whenever I need to get some quality time with my dogs; this is my go-to. They have a great time socializing with other dogs, and having the option of the large dog pen or the small dog pen really helps. Even though they’re not big dogs, their personalities are big. So they learn to respect other dogs and they get a lot of exercise. The waste bag stations are always stocked, and most owners do clean up after their pets. It refreshing to be able to let them off leash and get some fun in.

Huge fenced in dog parks. They even have 2 sides, one for large and one for small. Both are double gated. A few obstacles are around for climbing and a run through. Plenty of room for a game of catch and to burn up some energy after a long car ride. Just need a few shade trees please.

I take my two Shih tzus there often and they love it. There’s still a lot more to be added like seating, etc., but it really is such a great addition to Ft Madison. I live in an apt and having this doggy park is so great for my dogs. Thank you for this great doggy park.
