The park includes boat and cabin rentals, plenty of hiking trails, nice clean trout stocked lake w a sandy beach area. Available for horseback riding and winter activities as well.

Cowans gap state park is my favorite park. This is an amazing outdoor recreational park nestled on the mountains of Buchanan Pennsylvania. There are several trails to enjoy and the overlook trail gives you the most amazing view of the gap. The best part is that you can ride the bike along side the lake trail and have great time with the family. A highly recommended outdoor recreational park nestled park for the family. Ample parking and beautiful landscapes.
This is a great campground! I definitely recommend it! The bathrooms and campground were clean. There are paths by a creek that lead to the lake and are a fairly easy walk. There is a more strenuous hike to Cowans Gap Overlook – it is a beautiful view.
