While it isn’t noted for a dedicated fenced dog park, the pet-friendly setting, ample shade, and scenic walking paths are what make this local gem stand out for outdoor enthusiasts and their pets.
There are more than 10 deers coming out in the early morning right after the gate was opened. The park manager will put some corn under a big tree, right the road side. If you are lucky enough, you may see a white deer as the manager showed to me, but I didn’t see for 4 morning.
Clean enjoyable walk. Pretty level and mostly in shade. Being right on the water you always have a nice breeze. Playgrounds for the kids and picnic tables. Free to enter and easy to get to. It seems like a lot of people dont know its there and theres so much history.
Lots to learn about the Dundalk area. We went during Labor Day weekend, when they were having a free festival. The kids had lots of places to run around. The views of Baltimore and the Bay Bridge are stunning on a clear day. They will be having a Halloween Haunted house during the month of October.
My grandparents use to take me here as a child. Which, as a child, I thought was a really fun and neat place. The park has both playgrounds and historical structures. Both kids and adults can walk in or through the historical structures. There are signs posted throughout the park that explain some of the history about the park.
Very beautiful park that also has a few historical views on it. Lots of room for multiple families to enjoy picnicking and enjoying whatever else they may have some interest in. From volleyball, fishing, walking, exploring, playing Frisbee, or just chilling. Big park with plenty of room for everyone.
