Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Discover Fort Eustis Dog Park—an open, pet-friendly space in Fort Eustis, Virginia, located conveniently next to the tennis courts. This large, fully fenced area offers plenty of room for your dogs to explore off-leash, socialize, and burn off energy. The park is easily accessible, including wheelchair-accessible parking, and remains generally uncrowded except for peak times after 4 p.m.
The park features agility course elements, making it ideal for both casual play and basic training. However, visitors should be aware that after heavy rains, the area may become muddy and puddled. While seating and water stations are limited or not available, the spacious grounds provide a dog-friendly environment for those seeking a natural outing. Note that maintenance is reportedly inconsistent, with overgrown grass and limited trash management, so bring your own poop bags and towels. Responsible dog ownership and caution are encouraged for the best experience at this unique park.
This dog park opens sunrise to sunset everyday. It’s located at next to the tennis court.
It’s a nice huge dog park. My dogs always enjoy the park. It’s usually not packed at all. Sometimes your dogs get to meet many dogs like 7-10 at the park(after 4pm~).
The park is pretty big and can house multiple dogs at once. They have obstacle course style objects to allow the dogs to run or chase each other through/around. Easy to access and away from main traffic if you want a nice place to train your pet. It does need a few improvements such as the grass getting cut more often. It is also quite muddy after raining so be sure to bring blankets or towels for those muddy paws.
After a heavy rain area was a bit muddy and puddles of a few inches. My dog enjoyed playing with two other dogs.
Caution!! Severly underkept. No water, trees, and grass were overgrown. When we went through the gate, we didn’t know there was a wasp nest inside the gates handle. My dad and I both got stung by the wasps while bringing the dogs inside the park. Luckily, my two young children and dogs did not get stung. Will not return unless the space gets cleaned up and wasps removed.
Nice size park that I like to come to so my pup can run around but it is in need of some serious fixing. The course pieces set up are run down and broken. I hate that some owners don’t clean up after their dogs. Perhaps because there is no dog waste bags available but I don’t see why people can’t bring their own bags to clean up after their dogs. I always seem to find piles of dog sh*t with every visit which is disgusting and annoying. As a responsible dog owner it is your job to clean up after your pet – a simple basic task. And most times the grass is over grown and the trash is over flowing.
