Water is low right now but clean and beautiful. Had a blast on July 4th

Always a great spit to go and even take your little ones as well.

Nice place to spend some time on the Russian River. Ok place to take your kayak/SUP/canoe/float out. Only downside is it is a long way to the parking lot over fairly narrow trails in some places.

As I understand it, this is where most people park their cars for when they get off the river. Highly recommend taking a scenic float down the Russian River. Get a group together and make a day of it. I think it could take 3-4 hours if you don’t paddle much. Just don’t make the error that we did, and float past this area for another 2.5 miles… Make sure you know where to get off. If you find that the river has suddenly gotten strangely quiet and isolated… Then you probably missed this spot like we did.

Had a super great time floating down the river. Would 100% do it again?. However, don’t try to climb the rocks after floating in the river for a few hours. You may end up with stitches like I did.
