What happened to the nice play set & swings that used to be at the park. Now there is a new play set that only entertains my toddler grand children for 15 minutes. We’ve now moved to a different park when we want to having a nice long visit & picnic.

I haven’t been here in over 15 years but my son wanted to go fishing. When I googled “fishing spots near me” this park came up first. When we first pulled up I honestly didn’t have high hopes as the pond was filled with a layer of moss and lily pads on the top. Surprisingly, my son caught a fish (we release them, dont come for me lol) and my boyfriend accidentally caught a snapping turtle. This snapping turtle was the size of a small/medium dog, I’ve never seen a snapping turtle so huge in my life! I was scared we were going to have to cut the line because obviously we weren’t going to try to unhook it but nope, this turtle has definitely done pruson time lol he literally smacked the hook right out of his mouth. Ive never seen anything like it. But we had a really nice time here and I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back. I think its a great spot for smaller children as there’s a really cute playground here as well.
