The best spot to Railfan for me
A beautiful spot to visit in the middle of the night and peaceful too. My teenager definitely enjoyed it. Can’t wait to catch trains out there some day.
Went there a few times, I was able to see 2 meets back to back, and was able to see CSX 1899 Pere Marquette twice within 24 hours. Locomotives crews are pretty cool
I love this place. It has all the basic needs for the average railfan, yet managed to deliver so much. Expect up to 30 Trains in one day, and do your research before coming here. Unless you want to sit back and watch Trains pass by.
Virtual Railfan has a Camera here on the opposite side of the tracks, and they have an excellent train log that are linked on their livestreams. Wi-Fi is also provided, but doesn’t really work.
