This hike is kinda boring in the beginning as you hike the incline, but starts to pay off once you reach Log pond.

A very enjoyable hike with rewarding views. **** IMPORTANT: The entrance to the trail is actually about 50 meters to the right of the “Bass Creek Trailhead” sign. **** The trail is easy to follow from there.

Really cool hike that’s mostly shaded that follows a river that’s running pretty good in early June. After about a mile and a half you reach a spring fed pond with a spectacular mountain backdrop (pictured).

Super trail for wildlife: wildflowers, fungi, birds, lichen and butterflies. Go slow on hike…look up, down and all around. And yes use your ears to guide your eyes to see the birds singing🙂

We were in town and decided to take the kids on a hike. This was a very easy hike that our four year old walked most of the way. Ran into many friendly people out on the trail. If you are in the area and need to get out into fresh air this is a great trail! It fallows Bass Creak offering many great photo opportunities and refreshing swimming holes for you or your four legged friends. Next time we come to Montana we will hike it again!
