Awesome place to walk
Nice trail and small park. Trail is very short.
I really love this place because it’s so close, and also because it’s a pretty cool idea to put together some sort of place to walk, jog, or bike (possibly).in the community and it’s a positive place for me to go to. Some of it is paved(50%) and the other half is trail. If you live or come near the area and you’ve got 30 minutes to kill id check it out.
Nice little park. Easy paved trail. Few short dirt trails (very muddy after rain the day before). Two loops, large one by the parking, smaller one off the trail along the road.
Edit for winter months: Be careful if you walk in the back within the forest area. The leaves that gather can be slippery after rain, but ice builds up in the winter. One of, if not the best walking trail in Genesee County. Excellent for walking and jogging. People bring their dogs to walk here. It’s a safe area. There is a large picnic area as well as a couple smaller picnic areas a little ways away from the trail for some privacy. Lots of benches. The trail is a little over a mile loop. There is a paved path as well as smaller wood chip walking paths.
Parking is in front of the entrance to the trail. Enter through the main Flint Township Police Department entrance and it’s off to the left. There is one handicapped parking spot in front of the trail.
