Riverside Park is a great place for local Nature lovers. As the name implies the Park is situated right next to the San Joaquin River. There’s also a Walking Trail that starts near 9th ST & Q ST, runs through the Park, and ends at Dunkel Park. A plaque at the entrance of the Park commemorates the historical significance of the River & the entrepreneur pioneer whose last name is named after the town; Andrew D. Firebaugh. To a child this Park can be a wonderland; likewise your dog’s joy of freedom can be found here. The beauty of the outdoors is what makes this Park so appealing.

Absolutely loved this park’s walking trail. We entered the trail from Dunkle Park, easy to find. Route is paved, easy to walk trail, I think it would be great for strollers. My dog enjoyed sniffing all the plants and trees (she was kept on leash), great views of the San Joaquin River with some awesome photo opportunities. Well maintained. Hope to visit Firebaugh again and do the other side of the trail.
