Just a spectacular little stop. Note that the sign says it’s NULL entry for day pass but if you have to buy it online, it’s NULL.

This place was pretty neat. Walking around n the rocks was fun. My 8 year old loved it. They do have some other trails also. Along with camping spots. Nice little visitor center.

I love the natural formations of the rocks, it makes you wonder how on earth did there get like that?!

Trails well marked and described accurately. The Tabletop Mountain Trail the best and more challenging.

In addition to camp sites and picnic areas, City of Rocks offers easy hiking trails with awesome views. You can also hike between the rocks and spend a couple of hours exploring the rock formations. The botanical garden is small but it’s neat to learn about some of the native plants. The restrooms by the visitor center are clean, well maintained, and have a shower. We hope to be able to visit the site again soon to bike around and be there during the night for stargazing.
