William Grace Dog Park in Farmington Hills, Michigan

William Grace Dog Park is a secure, members-only dog park conveniently located at 29040 Shiawassee St in Farmington Hills, MI. This dog-friendly park features two fully fenced play areas: one for large dogs and one for smaller breeds, ensuring safe and enjoyable playtime for all pups. The park’s requirement for vaccinations and dog licenses helps provide a safe space for both dogs and owners, making it a trusted option for local pet lovers.

Dog owners appreciate the cleanliness, electronically gated key fob entry, and the community feel among responsible pet parents in this Farmington Hills dog park. Both play zones offer seasonal water stations to keep your pooch hydrated and waste stations with poop bags and bins for convenience. The large dog area also features a walking path along its perimeter. While there’s little natural shade, the park stays well-maintained year-round, and scheduled dog events (like dock diving) add to its appeal as one of the top pet-friendly spaces in the area.

I live in Lathrup Village I wanted to walk my dog there but I was refused entry because I didn’t live in Farmington. My question would be…do this park receive funding from OAKLAND COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION MILLAGE?

My dog and I love it here. You need a key fob for entry which can be obtained from the city/county after submitting the necessary paperwork for licensure.

There are two play areas: one for bigger and the other for smaller dogs. Both have water in season and provide stations with waste bags and disposal bins. The larger park has a walking path along the perimeter.

It was a thorough (paperwork) process to get my key fob. Loved the security of it being electronically gated. However, there is zero shade and my dog got a virus within one week of using the park. Not risking taking her there again. Pretty bummed, so is my dog.

This is a private community park where there are fees and a faub just to enter. There were about 8 people and dogs inside standing near the bench near the entry. Not one bothered to speak let alone explain the process even though they could clearly see us trying to enter. Detroit should have at least one real public free dog park for visitors. Coming on the weekend prevented us from even being able to get a day pass. Not dog friendly at all. Thankfully their were quite a few businesses with wonderful grass.

We moved from Farmington hills, however, we miss the safety this place provides for our dog. Requiring vaccinations and licenses made us feel safer about our dog I interacting with others here and the owners were all wonderful. The park is clean and has available water supply as well.
