Ellsworth W. Allen Park is a welcoming hub for the local Farmingdale, New York community, offering a variety of amenities for both dog owners and their pets. Located on Motor Ave, this park is known for its spacious grounds, ample parking, and family-friendly events—making it a popular gathering spot. While much of the focus is on playgrounds and recreational events like concerts, it’s a great general destination for those seeking pet-friendly trails and outdoor fun in Long Island.
Dog owners will appreciate the well-maintained grounds and open spaces, perfect for leashed walks and enjoying the scenery. While the park excels with community activities, restrooms, playgrounds, and convenient parking, details about a designated off-leash dog area or a fenced dog run are not specified. Regardless, Ellsworth W. Allen Park stands out as a pleasant and clean option for casual, on-leash dog outings, especially if you’re looking to pair pet exercise with family activities or local events.
Great venue for an open-air concert! Saw the Almost Brothers put on an excellent show. Sound is great and plenty of room for chairs or a blanket. Fireworks display during and after show was a bonus.
saw a great concert, easy parking, bike friendly
Park more functional than memorable. Some dirt, baseball diamond, trees… yadda, yadda. Obviously it has those pendants displaying local war veterans to induce the kiddos into the military pipeline.
The town of Oyster Bay. This park recently held a concert in the under the stars series. Tons of parking is available, and the attention to detail was spot on. The park is worth a visit and enjoy the beauty of it. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
1st time at this park for last night’s Fall Family Fun night free summer concert series Town of Oysterbay , performance by “The Lords of 52nd Street” The Legends of Billy Joel Band, at Ellis W Allen Park in Farmingdale NY. Many people came out on this perfect weather evening. I’m told maybe up-to 5000. Certainly, the parking lots were full. So, to my profound embarrassment, I couldn’t find my car. A wonderful young man named Tim who works for the Town keeping the grounds well kept, took me around until with his keen eyes, he found her. I gave him a big hug with relieved thanks and headed out , again with his direction, toward home 15 minutes before the end of the concert. Thing is there were no postings of parking lot numbers sections or rows. The park seems very nice with playground areas, restroom access, and what might be a bocce ball court. An Ice cream truck Kool Kat was there selling their wares and the food stand was open as well. Many people came with their own. The sun set quickly and it was dark even with posted lighting and public safety crews. ( see pix) overall , a good night.
