Dike East Dog Park is one of the most popular and accessible dog parks in Fargo, ND, conveniently located at 600 3rd St S along the scenic Red River. This fully fenced park features two separate enclosures—one for small dogs and one for larger breeds—ensuring a fun and safe experience for all pups. The park offers plenty of shade from mature trees and picturesque river views, making it a relaxing spot for both dogs and their owners. Friendly regulars and a laid-back atmosphere make it a beloved destination for the local dog-loving community.
Visitors appreciate the abundance of dog waste bags and trash bins for easy clean-up, picnic tables for seating, and lots of room for off-leash play. While there is no water fountain available on site, Dike East Dog Park does provide a welcoming and well-maintained environment close to downtown Fargo, Island Park, and other local attractions. Wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking lots ensure everyone can enjoy this pet-friendly spot.
We love this park and all the people that come here, every one is respectful. Our dog lives it here!!
The Dike East Dog Park is great! It consists of two separate fenced in area with lots of room for your puppers to run free. One area is for big puppers, the other is for ankle-bitter-puppers. Both areas have shade trees and picnic tables. Near the entrance you’ll find a plastic bag dispenser to aid in clean-up after your precious puppers drops a mammoth-sized deuce. Trashcans are placed throughout the park. The park is near the dike, as the name indicates. It is walking distance from downtown Fargo, Island Park, the Skate Park, and just over the bridge from downtown Moorhead. Parking can be found a couple hundred meters north of the park, down the hill from 2nd St. S., just south of Veterans Memorial Bridge (Main Ave).
This dog park is nice. It actually has trees inside.
There are trees, a picnic table and beautiful scenery at this dog park. There is a big dog section and a little dog section. Usually there aren’t little dogs but there are usually big ones.
We go there at least once a week, if not more. Dixon loves the park, and they provide plenty of dog waste bags for pickup. Bring your own water, because this is another DOG park here in Fargo that doesn’t have a spout. There’s a small side, big side for the canines and one picnic table in each side.
One of my favorite dog parks. Plenty of shade also. Right next to the beautiful Red River with a damn. Awesome fishing spot.
