Nothing to see here. Dirty, weeds all over, broken glass, garbage everywhere. Not worth the visit

Nice and big park I don’t know why it’s so empty. Why people don’t use it. Make sure to use mosquito repellent or you’re gonna be eaten alive by them

I’ve traveled around the Rockaways for over 20 years and I never noticed this community park. My adventure today was sail boating with my peers in the community and what a beautiful experience that was! Learning about the Jamaica Bay from this beautiful mobile vantage point captivated me. The general park area besides this nice summer activity is filled with tall grass, a couple places to sit and rest, a small dock, and cool people if you get to know them when they’re around.

Seems like it was once a lovely park, however pretty much in disrepair. There are no nets on the tennis or basketball courts. I’m not sure if the city is going to put them up later in the summer or what – but it seems like it’s just a vacant park being slowly overtaken by weeds.
