FAQ for The Mainely Dog in Falmouth Maine:
We value the solo boarding option for our pittie who absolutely loves people, including the staff here, but has mixed interactions with other dogs making big groups a challenge for him. He gets wonderful individualized care here!
Brought my dog Roxy to The Mainely Dog while visiting family, and it was perfect! The staff were so welcoming (even with short notice) and gave great updates. Roxy had the best day on her adventure at doggie daycare and came home happy and tired—this is her after her big day! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Maine!
We’ve boarded our dog(s) here before and the service has always been great. However, what’s prompting me to write this review, and has secured me as a life long customer was how The Mainely Dog came through for us (and our dogs) in our moment of need! For our most recent trip we decided to try a an in home R*ver sitter as we thought it might be more comfortable for our Senior dog. Boy was that a mistake 😅.The sitter called us 2 days into our 5 day out of state trip and said she could no longer care for the dogs as they were “excessively barking”…whatever that means….Nothing worse than an emergency with your pet care when you can’t easily return home.We called up The Mainely Dog in a panic on a Sunday afternoon. Not only did they answer but they were able to accommodate us for our friends drop to the dogs off within two hours.Thank you, thank you, thank you for being a safe spot for Kenny and Dipper to land and letting them “bark” as much as they wanted 🩷
We brought one tremendously happy and tired dog home after her first day at Mainely Dog! She had a great time playing and making new friends! Kayla and Alexis have done a wonderful job providing a safe, friendly and fun environment for dogs of all types! A big thank you from Rummi! See you again soon!
We are new to the whole kennel experience and both Kayla and Alexis made it a warm, friendly and easy process. It is very evident they are passionate for the well being of all dogs and they truly embrace the “Like What You Do…Do What You Like” work/lifestyle. After the evaluation, they suggested a daycare plan for our dog that will allow him to become more socialized over time. It felt very personalized and accommodating to his specific needs. We look forward to having our dog visit them on a more regular basis
