Nestled in the heart of the Pimmit Hills neighborhood, Pimmit View Park offers a serene getaway for both dogs and their owners. Known for its tranquil paved loop trail winding alongside a scenic creek, this dog-friendly hiking spot in Falls Church, Virginia, is perfect for daily dog walks, jogs, or leisurely strolls. The park is surrounded by a beautiful canopy of trees, providing generous shade and a cool retreat even during hot, humid days—making it a favorite pet-friendly trail for locals seeking a break from city streets.
With its quiet atmosphere and several residential entrances, Pimmit View Park rarely feels crowded and is a welcoming space for dog walkers and families alike. The paved trail ensures a mud-free experience after rain, and the quaint suburban setting gives you the sense of being far from busy Beltway traffic without actually leaving the neighborhood. While it doesn’t feature fenced or designated off-leash dog areas, it’s well-suited for peaceful, on-leash dog walks and quick nature escapes close to home.
Lovely neighborhood park with a stream running through it. Nice for dog walking and feeling like you’re not close to the Beltway and Route 66. Would be nice if dog owners would clean up after their dogs.

Nice little loop trail along a creek in the middle of residential Pimmit Hills. Too bad it isn’t longer. A mile would be just right. However, a lap is just under 0.5 miles (which could be exactly 0.5 mile if you include one or two of the residential cul de sacs that lead to one of the five or so entrances to the trail. Great for jogging, walking, dog-walking, kiddie biking especially during hot, humid sunny days since most of this trail is under a beautiful canopy of trees. I dont recommend it for routine biking unless you are just passing through. It is paved, so it does not get muddy after a rain fall like the Pimmit Run Trail does. I’ve never seen it crowded. It is about 0.25 mile away from the Olney Park entrance and a little farther from the Taylor Road entrance to the Pimmit Run Trail.
