We had the most incredible horseback riding experience in the snow! From the moment we arrived, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking—snow-covered mountains and the crisp winter air. Our guides Mike and Josh were fantastic, sharing interesting facts about the landscape while ensuring our safety and comfort. The horses were well-trained and so gentle, making the ride smooth and enjoyable. It was a magical feeling trotting through the quiet, snowy trails with nothing but the sound of hooves and the occasional bird. We felt completely immersed in nature, and the whole experience was peaceful and exhilarating at the same time. I can’t recommend this enough for anyone looking to try something unique and unforgettable! Would absolutely do it again!
I grew up riding horses in FairPlay, but the trail ride at this ranch was the most transformative experience of my life. Since leaving FairPlay, I had forgotten how deeply riding horses resonated with me, but the staff here reignited that passion. We had the best experience at Platte Ranch! We rode a beautiful trail around the property with great views the whole time. Amy, Mike, and Josh were very friendly and knowledgeable. They made us feel comfortable on our horses and they shared tons of interesting facts about the history of the area and local wildlife. You can tell that they really care about the land and they have a special connection with their horses. The property is easy to find and easily accessible from Summit County or even the Denver Area. I would definitely come back to visit Platte Ranch again.
Came here for a bachelorette party and it was hands down the highlight of our trip! Amy and both Joshes were our guides and they were so much fun, super knowledgeable, and incredibly patient with the range of riding experience in our group. The ride was absolutely beautiful and the horses were amazing, well-trained, gentle, and full of personality. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!
