Swasey Parkway Dog Park – Exeter, New Hampshire

Located along the scenic riverfront, Swasey Parkway is a favorite local spot for dog walking and outdoor fun in Exeter, NH. Although not a traditional fenced dog park, it offers pet-friendly trails, big open fields, and beautiful views, making it a popular destination for dog owners who enjoy strolling or jogging with their pups. The paved and dirt paths are perfect for pet-friendly hikes, while the open spaces are great for a quick walk or playtime with your dog.

Swasey Parkway stands out for its tranquil riverside setting, plentiful benches, shady spots, and abundant grassy areas. Gave an extra star since the park appears nice. However, google should update that no dogs are allowed and there’s a NULL fine for dogs. Got there and up to the gate with my dog only to see the sign then. Not from around the area; so for a first-timer it was frustrating.

Lovely walkway. I love reflections in the river. Every time I come here it is a little different. Today we saw a blue heron, what a treat!

A peaceful place to enjoy a farmer’s market, local festivals, or going for a walk no matter the season.

Beautiful park for a walk, has a paved path but also a dirt path. Benches, gazebo and plenty of grass to have a picnic or just relax. Shady spots with a great view of the river and town of Exeter!
