🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located in sunny Ewa Beach, Hoalauna Dog Park is a popular community spot where dogs can socialize and play off-leash in a fully fenced environment. With separate areas for small and large dogs, this dog park is perfect for pet owners looking for a secure and friendly place to let their dogs mingle. Enjoy the convenience of a nearby children’s playground, making it a great destination for families with both kids and pups.
While Hoalauna Dog Park offers basic amenities like fencing and waste stations, visitors should be aware that poop bags are not always available, so bringing your own is recommended. There is a water faucet on-site (bring your own bowl), but no installed dog water fountains or agility equipment. The park has limited shade and can get crowded during peak afternoon hours, especially on weekends. After rainy weather, expect some muddy spots. Despite its small size, its location and community feel make it a favorite for local dog owners in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
Great place to let my kiddo burn some energy! It’s definitely a great kids park, crowded but good. The dog park is a top close to the kids’ park, though. My kiddo likes to run around, and when getting in the grass area between both parks, there is dog poops in the grass area outside the dog park. Some owner apparently don’t clean up after their pets!

No poop bags so I left a few. My dog is extremely depressed lately. As it turns out she is a social girl and seeking friends. Needs some more shade but other than that it was nice

Great little park for your dog to mingle and socialize with other dogs! Not much shades so it’s pretty empty during mid day. Crowded in early morning and later afternoons. You’ll see more dogs after 430ish. There are some dirt patches so expect mud after a rainy day. I love that there are fencing separating small and big dogs. Baggie station at both parks but I never see any bags in there so it’s best to bring your own. There’s a water faucet in the corner so you don’t have to bring water. There are some communal bowls but I’d bring your own as well.
