It’s a nice little area, but bleeds into the surrounding neighborhood and private property. If you want a charcoal grill and some shaded tables for a nice picnic, this is the right spot. Don’t expect much room to run around unless you like tall weeds
A smaller but very quiet mountain park where you may enjoy solitude.
Beautiful spot. Took the kids here before school to have a donut and let the dog run a bit. It’s a dog leash only park; however, we were the only ones in the park, and I have my dog trained on a beep collar, so I let him roam a bit. There are trails, but we haven’t ventured through them yet. It is a bit noisy from Evergreen Parkway, but for the convenience, it’s hard to beat.
This is a beautiful park that is not too far up into the mountains. We came to have a picnic. There is a large covered picnic area as well as open tables pretty close to the parking lot as well. We had a lot of fun. We went on a hike afterwards and enjoyed a ton of wild flowers. I think it’s safe to say that Colorado is having its own superbloom as well. The only thing that makes this park less than perfect is the proximity to the highway so you can hear cars and see cars. I kind of wish I had picked somewhere a little more removed but it’s still really nice.
Nice park goes through the Evergreen trees. Needed spikes because it was icy. Nice picnic spot. Lots of deer droppings so wildlife around. No restrooms.
