Great spot just 30 minutes from Lakewood area! Perfect hike for out of towners — decent views of Evergreen, rolling hills, and pines. Great shaded hikes and not too much uphill climb if you don’t want to, and plenty of trail options for lengths short (1-2 miles) or long! Saw a coyote here too in early September 2021, FYI. Close to the trail…
Beautiful, easy trail. Not to busy for a Tuesday morning hike. Would suggest the usual winter gear.
We went on the smaller hike. I love how clean it is at the park. There is a restroom at the beginning of the walk and picnic tables. The one thing I didn’t like was for most of the hike you can hear the highway. (Not anything can do done with that but I is the one down side to the park.) Parking is set up nicely.
Probably the best dog park around Denver, well worth the drive the Evergreen. This is not just a fenced-in play yard, this is multiple fenced in areas of hiking trails Creeks rocks to climb on and other fun doggy stuff. You have the option of a simple Playard or miles of hiking trails up the side of a mountain. Not only is this a great place for dogs but a great place if you want a moderately difficult hike with Gorgeous views of the Rockies. My dog had an absolute blast playing here. Just across the street is Elk Meadow Park which offers even more on leash options for hiking plus has a restroom at the trailhead
Good little park near Evergreen Colorado. Trail is well laid out, but unspectacular. About 400 ft elevation in 3 miles. Fairly crowded for a Tuesday morning. Lots of bikers and hikers. But, never an issue. Circle counterclockwise so all uphill is at the start. Nice way to spend a couple hours.
