Elk Meadow Offleash Dog Park in Evergreen, CO is a favorite destination for dog owners seeking spacious, pet-friendly trails. This park offers a unique off-leash hiking experience where dogs can roam and explore alongside their owners across a variety of scenic trails. Admission is free, setting it apart from other parks in the area, and the hike is easy to moderate, making it a top choice for active dog lovers from around the Denver and Evergreen regions.
One of the key highlights of Elk Meadow is its open space design without typical fencing, offering a more natural and exhilarating adventure for dogs under voice control. There’s a creek running through the park where dogs can splash and play, adding to the park’s appeal during warmer months. The landscape features rolling hills, mature trees, and plenty of opportunities for both you and your pup to enjoy fresh mountain air away from city crowds.
Visiting this park is a must if you have a dog. The hike is fairly easy and your dog will have the time of their life running around off leash with other dogs. Unlike the state parks, this one is FREE!
This park has so many trails, and unlike cherry creek or chatfield, its free; making the trip up well worth it! There is a Creek running through the park, and the amount of other dogs makes this the most exciting day for my dogs!
We love this dog park for our large dog. It’s basically hiking with your dog off leash. Warning, it is not stroller friendly but great for little hikers. If you have little ones that aren’t ready to walk the hilly trails, bring a hiking backpack or carrier. I cannot say enough about this beautiful dog park, it is so great for us and our furry pup.
This place is awesome. It’s like a big open space off leash dog area with plenty of hiking trails for both dog and owner. I like the feel of it a lot better than just a small square fenced in dog park. The dogs tend to be more focused on exploring than being so focused on other dogs or have any sort of territorial issues that sometimes you see in the smaller fenced dog parks. This is one that you would probably want to go to if your dog was under voice control as it is a big wide open space area with lots of trees. It has a creek running through at the bottom that the dogs can play in. And the hiking trails are great if you want to get some exercise along with your dog. One of the best dog parks I’ve ever been to.
Great place for a hike, and let the dogs go wild!
