Nice area to stop for a picnic and go swimming on a hot day. Easy to launch a kayak too
It is very beautiful and well kept. We have an amazing family day ❤️
Love visiting this part of Lake Marion. The water gets quite warm in the summer heat, but is perfect for families with small children. There are several spots you can go out far without being in deep water. If you like kayaking, swimming, or just floating this is a great lil area.
Parking fills up fast starting in mid June, so if you don’t want to walk from down the road you need to get there early.
It was a very beautiful place to visit! We were actually looking for a place to fish, but there was no luck there. It was more of a place to relax, picnic, and enjoy the view by the water! I really just wanted to sit there the entire day. It was such a peace of mind!
Beautiful location for a picnic stop off whilst in road trip. So much more pleasant than sitting in a services! Worth the 15 min detour off the 95. There were some flies, the toilets were typical public but clean amd had toilet paper so functional. There were plenty of picnic tables and seats in the shade too. Some people were having a swim around the side. Very peaceful.
