Camped here next to the river (no van). It was a hot day and lots of locals came by for a dip or to launch a raft. Great spot

Sept 2024 – dry camped here in our pickup camper, stayed overnight for free (no one bothered us) BUT it was noisy as heck. Kids with loud stereos til all hours, loud trucks of every stripe on the nearby road, maybe nefarious business going on in parking lot (again, noone troubled us). Pretty spot with vintage buildings, historical park, bathrooms, trees, deer, river, gas station across the street with food/drink. Nearby walking/bike path. It worked fine in a pinch.

It’s a very beautiful park. It’s always clean when I have been there. Restroom, playground and picnic area are clean except for the deer poop. People who take their dogs there need to clean up after their dogs.
