Ideal for rugged or self suffient camping. Not many amenities. Primitive outhouse style bathrooms. Didn’t see any running water or electric hookups. Lake is pretty and the place is secluded. Great if you really want to get away from it all. Just bring your own power and water.

Powderhorn is my absolute most favorite place on the planet. Not only is it beautiful and serine, but it’s got some good fishin holes too!

We visited about a week ago. My husband grew up around here, so it held a lot of memories for him. We were worried about broken glass in the old school house, but it was glass free! Our little one found a bunch of cigarette butts, though. We had a lot of fun exploring!
