Taylor Lake Trailhead is a scenic pet-friendly destination in Etna, California, ideal for those seeking easy and beautiful dog-friendly hiking trails in the heart of Siskiyou County. While there appears to be some confusion regarding an official dog park, visitors with dogs are welcome on the trails and open grassy areas, making it a great spot for leashed pets looking for exercise and fresh mountain air.

The trail to the lake is short—approximately 15 minutes—and provides stunning 360° views, picnic areas, and opportunities for outdoor fun. The area is generally quiet on weekdays but can get busy in the summer. Parking is available (though it can be rough), and there are public restrooms. The location offers plenty of natural beauty, making it popular for families, hikers, and dog owners alike. Please remember to clean up after your pets and watch out for poison oak and local wildlife.

The road to the trailhead was dirt and rocky. The parking area was nice and there was a bathroom. The trail was easy and only took about 15 min to get to the lake. The view was amazing and the hike to the top was awesome. The 360 view was breathtaking.
