The Fields At Renaissance Park is a popular community destination in Essex, Maryland, ideal for pet owners seeking open green spaces and pet-friendly trails. This well-maintained park features walking and running paths perfect for dog walking, as well as sporting facilities like soccer and baseball fields, playgrounds for kids, and picnic pavilions. Many local residents frequent the park daily, taking advantage of the gentle, flat terrain for a relaxed stroll or a lively game of fetch with their pets.

While dogs are welcome and there’s a vibrant community of dog walkers, please note that the park is not fenced and does not have separate, dedicated off-leash dog areas. It’s an amazing park with a just renovated and upgraded football field nice picnic area and canopy , but authorities and park police has to do something about all those homeless people living and using this place as a shelter .
This people have mattresses on top the tables for sleeping washing and hanging their clothes over here .Really? Something needs to be done about relocating this people .
That is the only down side on this beautiful place

Little children have little bladders. I finally spotted a port a potty in the far back of the park, behind a long fence. The park is nice, and flat, but it needs more potty options!

I go to Renaissance Park just about everyday. I walk the entire park with my dog making sure to take time to sit on the benches as well. I see children playing and plenty of people walking their dogs. Now that it is spring time there’s baseball too. It’s a very nice park but there’s two things that bother me is they don’t empty the trash often enough and people don’t clean up after there dogs. I clean up after mine but I see it every single day. It would be great if they installed trash bags in various places throughout the park and maybe signs about a hefty fine if they do NOT clean up (but it has to be enforced!) We need to keep this park clean as it’s a very nice place and safe place to come. I gave it 4 stars due to the last two reasons.

Great park with running/walking path, pavilions, playground, soccer field and baseball diamond. Lots of dog walkers and exercisers. No facilities or port a pots. Nice place for a stroll.

If you visit, come early (7am) and avoid on holidays and a few days after. It takes them a while to clean the mess people leave behind.

There’s a baseball and soccer field where kids host their games. There’s also a playground and restroom.
