Nice hike of about 3 miles. Beautiful views of the Hudson. Only downside was that I saw a snake and it was very scary (check the pic of him sunbathing).

Beautiful, easy hike for most folks. There is a paved path or an option to take the wooden bridge over the creek that leads to a path through the woods. Access to the creek to let the kids (fury alike) splash around.

There are handicapped accessible parking spots and the paved path allows for a smooth trip through tree lined scenery.

There are a number of parking spots available, but it can fill up quickly especially in the afternoon.

From the trailhead to the river it’ll take just over an hour to walk roundtrip. Less a walk and more of a moderate hike, I walked through woods with some steep spots and rocky trails to the calm and beauty of the Hudson River. The suspension bridge is cute, small and not high at all (I have a fear of heights and this bridge was not a problem for me). It was rather quiet and still which allowed me to listen to birds and the wind. To be truthful, it was a bit more strenuous than I anticipated but glad I went and glad my knees held out! Initially I walked straight ahead in the road and ended up at a house near the river. You’ll want to go right onto the trailhead and the suspension bridge is right there then the trail is quite steep after that. It was a nice way to spend my mid-morning.
