Escanaba Dog Park offers a large, fenced-in space with separate areas for small and large dogs to run and play off-leash. The park is wheelchair accessible and provides benches for seating, a dog water bowl (though bringing your own water is recommended), and trash bins with donated poop bags. The terrain is dry and sandy, making it less muddy on rainy days, and there is some shade depending on the time of day. While the park is simple with no agility equipment or covered shelters, it remains a valuable community asset for dog owners.

Separate small & large dog areas. Garbage bins & benches available. Well maintained…if other people would be decent enough to pick up their own dog’s poop!
Great assett to our community.

Really simple (probably the simplest I’ve ever seen), nothing special, but at least decently sized. There are not any trees save for two saplings; there are no dog obstacles; there aren’t any benches for humans to be able to lean back on, and too few benches at that; there is also no enclosed space for humans in the winter; there’s only one trash receptacle for each section; no dog toys are allowed for whatever strange reason (which is really boring when you’re the only one there with your dog waiting for someone to show up); and this place also apparently didn’t get the memo that it’s normal to have trash bag dispensers throughout the inside of the park, not just in one location inside the fenced entrance area.
But what the heck.. at least there is a dog park available and it’s better than not having one. 🤷

Located near the Delta County Airport, Escanaba. The dog park is a big, fenced-in area for both, large and small dogs to run and play. There’s sun and shade depending on the time of day you visit. There’s an “introduction” area for both size dogs however, they are on opposite sides of the park about 100 yards apart. There are benches for the humans, and also a courtesy bin with donated poop bags and a disposal bin. Hit or miss on if there are toys/balls to play with. No obstacles or anything like that for the dogs which is somewhat disappointing. I haven’t seen any water points, so bring your own water. In my opinion NULL,000 could’ve been spent differently, but it is a nice, open area for dogs to run and play.

Nice big park. It’s a little bit boring because it’s just a square but it will do. There are two areas .. one for the large dogs and one for the small.

Love this park! It has a large open space perfect for off leash running and giving dogs plenty of roaming spaces if your pup prefers to roam around solo. It’s dry and sandy, no muddy paws on rainy days! There is a dog water bowl, but you will want to bring your own water for you and your pup. For how low maintenance this park is, it is pretty solid. Just like other dog parks, you will occasionally find your foot in a hole when an ower has not refilled a hole their dog dug up. If your dog gets overwhelmed easily. The busiest times I’ve noticed so far are between 11am-1pm and 4pm-6pm. Otherwise the park is pretty empty!
