🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located in the heart of Ephraim, Utah, the Ephraim Sports Complex & Family Park is a popular community destination for families, sports enthusiasts, and pet owners. This dog-friendly park features expansive, well-kept open fields ideal for walking your dog, playing fetch, or enjoying a picnic. Visitors frequently praise the park’s cleanliness and maintenance, making it an inviting spot for both dogs and their owners.
Ephraim Sports Complex has amenities including restrooms, picnic tables under a shaded pavilion, and plenty of space for sports and recreation. While there is a notable lack of shade in certain spectator areas, there are trees on the south end and a bowery for relief during sunny days. The park also boasts an updated all-abilities playground nearby, making it a great choice for families with children and dogs in tow. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly park in Ephraim, this locale is definitely worth a visit.
Whoever designed this did not have any kind of intelligence or foresight to spectator comfort. There is absolutely NO shade here. There is no shade over the bleachers. NONE!
And no planted trees in the outfield. This is stupidity that reaches a new level. I baked in the sun for an entire day watching my daughter’s tournament. If you’re the owner and reading this maybe invest in some shade canopy’s or trees for guests.

3 stars bc–I do believe it’s time to figure out how to start replacing the playground equipment. There are ghetto boards nailed to it from where old slides were. (Prior to that it was just an open hole I had to stand by the entire time my daughter played, in fear she’d fall or try to jump/climb) There’s also orange caution cones covering former equipment that is potentially dangerous. (Hence, the cones, I guess?) The equipment is dated, weather worn, broken, and our kiddos deserve a safe, nice playground.
There are restrooms here. They even had both soap and toilet paper available.
The open field is well kept, making it a nice place for soccer or a picnic. There’s also places to play ball and is super dog friendly. 👍

This park is clean and beautiful! There are trees near the south end, a bowery and grill, huge fields for sports, and a fabulous playground and swings. There’s a toddler swing, which is nice, and the playground is good for a big age range with different sizes of slides and a continuous loop for younger kids, so they can access all the slides. It’s a nice place!
Edit: We used to love this park and we still frequent it, but it’s not as clean as it used to be. It could use some care and repair, particularly with attention to the picnic tables, a slide that has been missing from the playground for a year or so, and the restroom upkeep. It’s usually stocked, but the building itself could use some cleaning and updating.

Good venue for a softball tournament. I loved that they offered breakfast options with early games starting. Clean bathrooms and plenty of space for chairs. We also loved the all over net

Some of the areas of the park could use some freshening up like the stairs on the playground with exposed rusty metal or the old school gondola that’s worse for wear. The bathrooms are usable which is a plus but I don’t suggest coming to the park after dark unless it’s with others or for a good reason… I’ve heard lots of shady stuff happen over the years I’ve lived in sanpete and you don’t wanna get involved in any of it going on at this park. Other than that, good place to go just a bit out of the way from things.
