Walked 4 miles on the trail. So beautiful. Colors not at peak but some.
Great place to park and access the trail. Pit toilet available. One of the cleanest I have found. About a 10 mile ride to Glen Arbor.
We’re very lucky to have so many awesome paved bike paths in the greater Traverse City area. SBHT is wonderful. It winds through gorgeous northern Michigan forests and takes you to awesome spots like the dune climb, Glen Haven and Glen Arbor. If you’re going to be in the area, don’t forget your bikes!!
Wonderful bike trail with a lot of challenge!
This 22-miles newer trail is smooth and beautiful! It has a relatively level ride on the north side, and steeper inclines on the south.
We really enjoyed the smooth, well-kept trail through the area’s beautiful scenery.
Rented bikes in Glen Arbor and it was just a short ride to the trailhead. Beautiful ride out to the dunes and back. We spent about four hours total including a stop at the dune climb, all the way to Lake Michigan and back.
