Runners perspective only: I use High Meadows as an entrance to the inland coast trail, usually opting to start my run at Cascade park, head up the road to Ford, and then onto the trail. Path is wide and scenery is great with plenty of wildlife. This is by far my favorite place to run locally. Metroparks are beautiful
Wonderful fall colors at the reservation today. Great place to get out any time of the year to get out and connect with the wilderness any time of the year.
A nice park for biking and some walking, didn’t think it was the best for a stroller or wagon with a toddler… the location lends it to being quite windy and the noise from the traffic overwhelmed my son. They do have a playground that has slides suitable to toddlers which is great.
Black River Reservation is a great trail for walking or running. It’s long, peaceful, and usually not too busy, making it a perfect spot to enjoy nature!
What a lovely park! My daughter and I enjoyed walking the nicely paved trail (great for bikes, too), and stopped to visit the restrooms, which were clean and well maintained. Awesome experience all around!
