Terrible for fishing wind takes your lures and puts them in the trees don’t fish here if you like having your lures or if you want to catch fish

Park is …. ideally for bigger kids.
The toy structure is mega tall. And not for those parents who are faint of heart. (Meaning us helicopter moms/ and parents who don’t like their kids up high/heights) ok, it’s me.. I’m THAT mom.

My bigger kids (9, 10 & 11) I was great no problems, but the 4 year old climbing some of the obstacles/structures made me incredibly nervous.

It was clean. Restrooms closed, but offered a handicap accessible porta-potty.

Peaceful, with all the little beaches you can access around the ponds it can be quite private as well.

We enjoy both ponds at Vance Creek Park.
With BBQ areas, 2 of which are covered. Bathrooms. Play area for kids. Age restriction on pond #1 for fishing, but none on pond #2 where the boat launch is. Just a nice Area for all.

Snapped my rod here. Didn’t catch anything. Really nice green path for walking though. A lot of cotton and pollen so good luck if you have allergies. You can see the nuclear power plant that never got finished in the distance parking is spacious. Park on the way to the water. The building is burnt down so I didn’t see any restrooms
