🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Bluebird Dog Park, nestled at the back of Bluebird Park in Ellisville, Missouri, is a popular destination for local pet owners looking for a clean, secure, and social space for their dogs. This member-only park features two separate areas for both large and small dogs, allowing pets to socialize safely. The large dog area is equipped with AstroTurf and offers a spacious, flat surface for running and fetch, while the shaded back area provides real grass and tall trees, perfect for relaxing or escaping the summer heat.
Bluebird Dog Park goes beyond just a fenced dog run—owners will enjoy convenient parking, public restrooms, water fountains for dogs, and several benches to relax while their furry friends play. The dog park is surrounded by scenic, pet-friendly hiking trails and fitness stations, making it a great spot for both a dog play date and a walk or workout. The park is wheelchair accessible, offering a welcoming environment for all. Registration and updated vaccinations are required, ensuring a safe and healthy experience for all visitors and their pets.
Great dog park! Only complaint is that there isn’t any lighting at the dog park or in the parking lot outside of the dog park. Not only would it be nice to have the lighting so you could enjoy the dog park longer durning these shorter daylight days but there really needs to be lighting for safety reasons.
Love this dog park. You must be registered and your dog must have all required vaccinations. The dog area has a security code to get in for registered users. The secure area is surrounded by walking trails and fitness stations. So if a good walk and work out is what you want, then take your dog for play and socialization.
This dog park is relatively small but nearly all the dogs are extremely friendly. The large dog area has AstroTurf, which is good much of the time. I avoid the AstroTurf on hot days because it gets too hot for the dog’s paws. It is slippery too. The turf may not be good for dogs with hip, ACL or back issues because slipping can cause further injury. (Just a bit of caution needed.) The park is clean and has water fountains for the dogs. It is near hiking trails that my dogs enjoy also.
Located at the back of Blue Bird Park, there are 2 nice sized dog areas here. The have all the amenities you might expect from a dog park. They have a large open flat area of artificial grass for playing fetch. The back part has tall trees and real grass. There are several benches and a special foot triggered watering station for the dogs to drink. Parking is very convenient and wheel chair/scooter accessible. My dog had a great time off his lease meeting the other dogs.
This is a member-only dog park. There is an area for large dogs and one for small dogs. The large dog area has AstroTurf. I’m not sure why the small dog area does not?
Our dogs love to go here and run around and play. If there are no other dogs present, there’s not much to keep your dogs occupied – which is fine for us.
