Such a fun park with a GREAT 9 hole disc golf course. It’s so refreshing to play a course that doesn’t have 400′ holes. We’ll be back to walk the boardwalk!
Tory hole park is a great place for adults or to take young kids! It has a boat ramp, if you want to take your boat out on the cape fear river. It also has a nice playground for kids! They have beautiful walking trails as well as disc golf! It can flood easily, so I would not go if it has rained recently! You could also host an event here, because they have a covered area with picnic tables!
Took many good pictures here of early spring flowers (here, I believe, is a southern Dewberry). Besides the history lesson, the park presents a good view of natural history and geology of the near Atlantic coast.
Good place to bring the kiddos to play on the playground, or take a walk through the woods to see the river. There is also a disc golf course at this location. The walking path will take you over several bridges where you will see lots of bald cypress trees and various wildlife.
