Very well kept park. Great for kids to play in shallow slow moving creek on a hot day

When you first enter Mingo (see all the signs for picnic, play area etc, turn right)and see the play area ahead and to your left, park in that lot. There is a sign at the trailhead near the entrance of that lot that says Leash Free Area Ahead. The trail up to the dog park is paved and not long, but is quite steep (maybe not for everyone). I think I’m spoiled by the dog parks in Ohio and Texas 😉 … this is a bigger park with small and large dog areas, with basic grass fields to run in. No doggie bags/station, and no water fountain. There is a trash can at the gate. Someone was kind and left a bowl on the one picnic table in the small dog area🙏🏻😌 All that said, it’s nice to have a large fenced in area for your pet to run and play. Much appreciated.

Large dog park area that is easily accessed by a few minute walk from one of the park’s parking lots. We had the best time🐶🐶

Quaint and beautiful. Trees, creek, hiking, playground, and covered bridges. One of my all time favorite parks to visit

Love this park. Huge, open, tended space for big and small dogs. It is a hike up a 15% slope to get there but totally worth it for my boy.
