🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Horseshoe Curve Outdoors offers a scenic and expansive destination for dog owners in Echo, Oregon, perfect for those seeking wide open, pet-friendly spaces. This park stands out with its beautiful rolling hills, river access (ideal for wading), and a natural setting that encourages off-leash fun. Dogs can run, play, and explore the grassy fields and enjoy cooling off by the river, making it a wonderful spot for dog-friendly outdoor adventures.
The park is not fenced, offering a more natural, off-leash experience for well-behaved dogs with a recall. While there are no formal agility structures, dogs will love the open space, varied terrain, and water access. Shade from trees, spacious seating areas, and plenty of room for large groups make this a standout gathering place for both human and canine visitors. Please note that parking is available at the road entrance, and you may need to walk a short distance to reach the park area. Picnic tables and basic shelter offer a comfortable place to relax after playtime.
We had a group of 10 hunters, everyone from Greg and his wife down to the kids planting the fields are all very hospitable and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The dogs are all top notch. The most realistic planted bird hunt I’ve ever been on. Will definitely be back.
The guides and staff are amazing. The dogs never give up, and really make the experience. The lodge atmosphere creates friends as soon as you get there. These people know how to show you a good time! I’ll be back for sure.
What an amazing experience we had at Horseshoe Curve last weekend. Corporate event consisting of customers and partners, and we could not have asked for a nicer couple of days to get out and hunt.
Let’s start with the 5-Star parts of this experience; First, the property. It is one of the most beautiful places from a scenery perspective with the rolling hills, river, and all of the wildlife everywhere. Second, the accomodations. Plenty of room for everyone to do all of the eating, drinking, hanging out, sleeping, or whatever you want to do. We had 20+ people out there and it never felt crowded. Third, the people!! So many great people from the hosts, to the cooks, to the guides and their helpers, everyone was super nice and made the experience that much better. Lastly, the hunting and shooting. From the clay pigeon shooting to the actual hunting, everything far exceeded my expectations.
Now for the not so great….and honestly I have zero complaints about anything on this trip. Every element of this experience was top notch. I wouldnt change anything, other than I wish I would have brought my fishing rod so I could have at least made a couple of casts into the gorgeous river out back!
I cannot wait for my next trip out to the ranch!
I had an incredible experience at Horseshoe Curve Outdoors during a two-day bird hunt! The abundance of birds, skilled and friendly guides, and well-trained dogs made the hunt truly enjoyable. The hospitality was top-notch, with excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was well-organized, and the attention to detail made the entire trip unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a first-class hunting experience. I’ll definitely be back!
I’ve been hunting here for 3 years now and I’ll say you’ll be hard pressed to find a more professional staff. They are there to give you the best experience possible and go out of their way to do so. The scenery is also so breathtaking you’ll forget you’re only 20 minutes from Pendleton. Highly recommend.
