Beautiful morning view, lots of trails to walk, has a 3D archery course and a standard archery range with various distances. Restrooms in the park are up to date and very clean. Lots of picnic areas by the lake. RV and tent camping available. Great place to bring a date or the family.
Great place ta visit lots of trails . Very educational with numerous story boards . Wildlife plentiful but beware of the slithering kind, one was hiding in the bath room.
Great hidden gem. We went to see the effigy but was very surprise at how much this park area has to offer. From archery targets, trails, educational placards, great wildlife, to a great viewing tower. It is free to visit the effigy and trails. If you pay a nominal fee you can enter the adjacent park with picnic areas, swimming, camping and even a boat ramp.
I ride my Mountain bike there regularly and absolutely love the trails. The facilities are always clean and I feel safe going there by my self. The storms have downed several trees. Georgia Power owns and operates the park and I am sure they will eventually get to them. They have been working to help the hurricane victims so I am patiently waiting before I go back.
