Nice easy flat walking with a stream, not completely relaxing because it is adjacent to the parkway

I have been hesitant to take my dogs here because of the tick reviews and I should have listened. We came end of august. I thought ticks would have died down by now. I was very wrong. Towards the end of our walk I saw three adult ticks on my dog. I flicked them off we got back to our car and I notice his legs, chest and head covered in something. I look closer and it’s millions of tiny baby ticks. And my two dogs are protected for fleas and ticks. Worst nightmare. Had to tick bomb my car and go buy flea and tick shampoo.

The trails were beautiful until we got past the bridge then they were skinny. Not well maintained. Most of it didn’t even look like a trail.
