Francis William Bird Park

Nice place to walk especially during the warmer months of spring and summer. Walking paths are paved and mostly flat with benches spread out along the paths. Plenty of grassy areas to set up a picnic blanket for a more relaxed activity or to have the kids run around. The only thing I had a slight issue with was ants crawling on my picnic blanket when I went here a couple of summers ago (there were a lot and they were very small which made it hard to see them).

Bird Park in Walpole is a beautiful, peaceful escape with wide open fields, shaded walking paths, stone bridges, and charming ponds. It’s perfect for family outings, joggers, or a quiet stroll alone. The well-kept playgrounds, tennis courts, and picnic areas make it ideal for both kids and adults. Whether you’re walking your dog, playing with your kids, or just enjoying nature, the park offers something for everyone. It’s clean, safe, and always welcoming—truly a local gem.

Wonderful morning, grounds are perfectly tended as always. Almost everyone leashed their dog (c’mon, folks).

So beautiful here! Lots of runners, walkers and folks just taking it all in. Great playgrounds for kids with an entire area filled with Tyke trucks and cars for riding! So cute. Tennis and pickle ball courts as well as a basketball court. Trails are good, scenery beautiful, and you can even find artists painting here now and then!
