Miles and miles of open level paths. I hike, bike on various trails quite a bit and sometimes it’s nice to just have a place that provides an easy , casual environment. I’m not a fan of the paving project that took place in some sections of the path because I enjoy getting off the asphalt and concrete of my work day and want the feeling of soil , grass or gravel underfoot. I can understand and appreciate they were looking to improve accessibility though and I will begrudgingly admit they have done that. This multi use area also has some underated fishing.

I had a wonderful experience there today. It was nice and a little breezy. Wasn’t too many people, meaning it wasnt crowded. I did some walking which was the main reason i went. It was 90°+ but not humid. You can get in a nice quiet time as well as see parts of nature. The walking/riding trail is paved now. Making the experience much better than before.

Nice trails and historical markers. Beware of goose poo but that’s a given. Its very serene and peaceful. There are periodic benches if you need to sit down. Even saw a couple people out fishing.

Newly renovated parking area along the Erie Canal Trail. We come here to walk along the Erie Canal and see many people biking and jogging along this Trail. It’s a really nice area for a walk on a nice afternoon. I’ve also seen a lot of people fishing here although I’ve never seen anybody catch a fish. We also see a lot of wildlife whenever we walk along this Trail.
