FAQ for Courtyard Syracuse Carrier Circle in East Syracuse New York:
Front staff were super friendly. When checking in I was told I signed up for military rate instead of state government rate which was very confusing because online it’s listed as the same price. I was given the rate I needed to be reimbursed which I appreciated. The hotel room was clean and acceptable. I waited almost 25 mins at the bistro just to order a glass of wine. There is like 7 other hotels in this complex, I’ll likely just stay at one of the others next time.
This was a weird stay. We checked in with the friendly front end staff and went to our room only to find that it was only partially cleaned. The bed was not made, trash was still in bins, and carpet was not vacuumed.Called the front desk and they immediately got us another room and helped us move there. In the morning we decided to get breakfast before heading out. Big mistake. The breakfast burrito was fine and was also clearly just unwrapped and microwaved before being brought out. The daily Flatbread came out almost 15 minutes later! It was also microwaved so the bread had an unpleasant consistency.
Absolutely poor customer service. Booked a room back in April and today (3 days before check in ) it is canceled saying that it was overbooked BEFORE I booked the room. I call absolute BS. If you are a Syracuse parent coming for parents weekend DO NOT rely on Marriott to honor your hotel booking. Take your money elsewhere
I do enjoy staying at this hotel. The Bistro could definitely use some staffing attn. I have left without ordering because the Bistro attendant would disappear for over 20 min. Raven one of the front desk staff members that I have had the pleasure of meeting multiple times is ALWAYS GREAT. If this hotel could find several move staff members like Raven it would definitely be a better place to stay.
To pay NULL for 3 nights and not even get a complimentary breakfast of some kind or coffee in the main lobby area is wild. Everything has a separate charge from this “Bistro” that’s setup like an airport-style store front. Crazy work. The room itself was nice, seemed clean, and no weird smells.
